Is there a way to see a log of when permissions changed for a group? MOSS 2007. Some sort of history change report or log?
Example:
Recently a user had permissions to a certain group and the user lost it and I had to put user back in group. Would like to see what date and/or time user was removed from group.
FYI, this is a forum for InfoPath and SharePoint Designer questions. The General forum would be best suited for all these permissions questions. Are all these questions related to the same problem and same environment?
Anyway, there isn't a simple log of such changes available for review, but you can turn on auditing, which can then track just about any change. I haven't tried it specifically for tracking changes to groups, but only site owners can change group memberships, or the individual set as the owner of that particular group, so your possibilities should be limited.
