InfoPath/Access error

I have a form in InfoPath and as new information is added to Access, this information is showing  for example as the following: <div>48</div> .  The html shows with my data...
Seems to be an error with the information being entered in Access almost like there is a conflict or possibly that the InfoPath form is pulling the information from SharePoint, but it's not being updated from the Access database.
I have to go in and remove the "<div>" tags every time.  Any clues on why the html shows up?  How can I prevent that?
THANKS!

I'll need more information about your setup.  What exactly is your architecture?  Is this 2007 or 2010 for SharePoint, InfoPath, and Access?  Is it a form template published to a SharePoint form library with read/write data connections directly to an Access database, or is it a linked Access table in SharePoint with data connections to this list from InfoPath, or is it a form template created using the database template that is directly tied to the Access DB schema?

There should not be any html unless the fields are rich text fields.
