Come learn how the sharepoint.microsoft.com and sharepoint2010.microsoft.com web sites were built. This session will describe how the SharePoint publishing features, the SharePoint framework, Silverlight, and custom components were used to create a compelling marketing site for the SharePoint marketing team. Attendees will learn how each of the components were architected, how they work, and the design decisions associated with them from both a technical and business point of view. Attendees will also learn how many components in the site were migrated from sharepoint.microsoft.com to sharepoint2010.microsoft.com. Finally, attendees will learn how the Digital Assets Library and Silverlight were used to create custom pages to view video content in the 2010 version of the site.
