SP2010 Masterpages

Has anyone started looking at what is required for SP2010 MasterPages?

Hi Jeremy,

There's a helpful post that discusses the differences by Randy Drisgill. He's a SP MVP and is also an instructor for Ted Pattison & Andrew Connell's company called Critical Path. Here's that post.

Jeremy, when you ask about what is "required," what specifically are you referring to?

For instance, in 2007, the MasterPages required asp: tags for pieces of sharepoint that were required and if you didn't include those, the page would crash.

Randy is the resource and has a simple  master page to start from.

Feel free to email directly regarding branding questions. cbaginski@go-planet.com. In the body, tell me that you're a COSPUG member so I have a point of reference.

Thanks!
